The University of Sharjah is located in University City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It was established by its founder, supreme president and chairman, the ruler of Sharjah HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi, The university was established as a result of sheikh Sultan vision of a distinctive institution in the emirate of Sharjah based upon Islamic architect and history and to meet the demand of the surrounding society in particularly the UAE and the gulf region.

The University of Sharjah has 14 colleges; the main campus adopts a unique Domain Cluster model where colleges with similar fields are physically located within close proximity.
